      What a difference 24 hours makes. After annihilating a visiting Avon varsity ice hockey team on Saturday night 11-0, Nantucket’s JV team welcomed a Cape Cod Tech varsity squad for a Sunday afternoon game that ended 3-1, for the fourth Nantucket loss of the season.

One game away from clinching
      It was a slow week for Nantucket’s varsity basketball teams last week with the weather playing havoc with the schedules. With only two more wins to earn before securing a definite place in the post season, the Lady Whalers managed only one game on Saturday.
