Increase in domestic violence a community concern
      A woman spoken with some time ago had her arm badly broken when she was assaulted by her husband after he lured her home through a lie about dealing with family matters. That was the end of the line for her after experiencing previous abuses, and by pressing charges her assailant went to jail for years.

Native Americans and FAA holding up Cape Wind
      Mark Rodgers, Cape Wind Associates communication director, describes his employer's plans to build an offshore wind farm in Horseshoe Shoals as an eight-year process. Jane Carroll Mullen, dead at 90
      Jane Carroll Mullen of Holland, Pa. and Nantucket, Mass. died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Chandler Hall in Newtown, Pa. at the age of 90. She was born Jane Colette Carroll in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. in 1919 to James E. and Cecilia Carroll.
