The sands of time
EDITORIAL
      Tourism has long been Nantucket's lifeblood, and enhancing the visitor experience helps all of us. While other facets of the island economy are in a slump, for example, the building trades and real estate, let's concentrate on the positive and be more welcoming to our visitors.

      To the Editor: Once again Nobadeer Beach took a beating this year, not from erosion, but from crowds of beachgoers who jammed the access roads and showed little respect for the porta-potties, trash barrels and the police patrols available to provide amenities and safety for the beachgoer.
