I t took too long for the big green and yellow - and sometimes, red - blob to stop hovering off Nantucket's eastern shore and disappear across the ocean. Bailey belongs to my long-time friend and every night during my recent visit, he abandoned his mistress to sleep on my bed in the guest room. More ... I love the Fourth of July. Nantucket celebrates Independence Day the old fashioned way, with a festival on Main Street and activities all day for kids of all ages. There's nowhere I'd rather be on July 4th. By far, my favorite part of the day is the water battle with the fire trucks, buckets and squirt guns in a free-for-all. More ...
