      I grew up on Nantucket. My family moved here when I was six. Like many my age, I attended the Coffin School for kindergarten, then the Academy Hill School, then the "new" Nantucket Elementary School. I went to Cyrus Peirce, had classes in "temporary" trailers and attended both the old and new Nantucket High School.

Perennial Nantucket
      I love flowers. I am very appreciative living on Nantucket, with so many yards dedicated to growing flowers in abundance. This island of grey shingles and intermittent fog is a dramatic backdrop for colorful flowers. I especially enjoy the late summer and fall blooming perennials.
