BIRDS OF NANTUCKET
      Sounds like the title of a Class B science fiction movie. Or perhaps - the activities of a group of itinerant geometry teachers. But of course - this is a bird column and the cones are attached to trees - pines, firs, spruces, hemlocks and yes, even the larch. This species is willing to go wherever a good seed crop is happening.
