Cooper Lilla engagement

Diana Cooper and Mark Lilla are engaged to be married.

Diana is the daughter of Faith Cooper and the late Ian Cooper of New York and Nantucket.

Ms. Cooper graduated from Harvard with a cum laude degree in history and literature of France and England. She studied art at the New York Studio School and has a master's degree in art from Hunter College. She is currently a professor of art at Columbia University in New York.

Mark Lilla is the son of Gerald Lilla and the late Marie Lilla of Detroit, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in economics and political science. After graduation Mr. Lilla was editor of "The Public Interest" magazine before earning a Ph.D. from the Kennedy School at Harvard. Until recently he taught philosophy at the University of Chicago. He is currently a professor of Humanities at Columbia University in New York.
