NANTUCKET POLICE BLOTTER Information provided by the Nantucket Police Department. All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Tuesday, June 10 1:13 p.m. Michael T. Berg, 28, of Boca Raton, Fla., was placed under arrest at the Nantucket Police Department and charged with larceny of property valued at $250 or more, larceny under $250 and possession of a class D drug. Wednesday, June 11 7:20 a.m. Emily Dutra, 28, of 10 South Pasture Lane, was arrested on Surfside Road and charged with speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked registration. Thursday, June 12 9:27 a.m. Jeffrey Sharpe, 38, of 12 Clarendon St., was arrested on Polpis Road and charged with a marked lanes violation, failing to have an inspected motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger. 4:32 p.m. Kerian L. Wilson, 28, of 17B Park Circle was arrested at 2 Sherburne Commons and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. According to a Nantucket police report, Wilson was involved in an altercation with another woman who went to her ex-boyfriends house to retrieve some personal items. While the woman was talking to her exboyfriend, Wilson became involved in the conversation, which lead to a fight between the two. The report goes on to say, "Wilson told her she was going to kill her several times, then grabbed a knife and cut her with it." When police arrived at the scene, the victim was sitting in a vehicle with "a very large laceration on her elbow where a significant amount of blood covering it. There was also a significant amount of blood covering the driver's door and the pavement near the vehicle." Friday, June 13 1:03 p.m. Randy Vittini, 24, of 2 Helens Drive, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with operating a motor vehicle after having his license suspended. 3:10 p.m. Catherine Tripp, 18, of 4 Tripp Drive, was issued a summons for failing to drive in the right lane and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage. Saturday, June 14 12:49 a.m. Filipe Soares Junior, 31, of 5 Folger Ave., was arrested on Hooper Farm Road and charged with a marked lanes violation and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. 3:20 a.m. Matthew P. Kenah, 19, of 88 Pleasant St., was arrested on Surfside Road and charged with failing to drive in the right lane and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Sunday, June 15 8:28 a.m. Travis Cooper Cooper, 24, of 2 Quaise Pasture Road, was arrested on Almanack Pond Road and charged with disturbing the peace. Monday, June 16 Kenneth Johnson, 32, of 32 Somerset Lane, was arrested on Centre Street on an outstanding warrant. |
