Erosion closes Cisco, Madaket beaches
      Town Beach Manager Jeff Carlson announced Monday the closure of two beaches- Cisco, in front of the Land Bank parking lot, and Madaket, at the end of Madaket Road, due to severe erosion at both locations. The eight- to 12-foot drop from the dunes to the beach prevents safe access to the beaches.

Artist Paul Longenecker leaves a legacy of fine work

      He did what he loved in life, and his life was his art. Paul Longenecker, a respected painter who worked in the style of the old masters, died peacefully at Cape Cod Hospital on June 3, 2008 from complications following emergency surgery. He was 87.

Constable to serve 25 years in federal prison
