MOLLY LENTOWSKI

After an undefeated season last year Nantucket girls softball is on path for a repeat this year. They are an incredibly strong team and Senior Captain Molly Lentowski is an essential piece to the great team chemistry they have. A softball player since 5th grade she has always loved the sport and this is her first year as captain. Also a member of the Accidentals and Naturals she enjoys singing and hanging out with friends. The Independent caught up with Molly after practice in this week's Time Out: ON SOFTBALL
S: How is your season going so far?
M: I think we are going to do quite well personally. We have a lot of good players and we work well together. We are 5-0 right now.
S: What position do you play?
M: I play right field. I have a good arm and I've always played in the outfield.
S: What's been the top highlight for your career to date?
M: I hit a grand slam last year against Cape Cod Tech. It was crazy.
ON SCHOOL
S: What has been your favorite class in this year?
M: My school to career. I intern at the Elementary School with Ms. Valero's 2nd grade class. I want to be a teacher and it's helping me realize my goals in life.
S: Who has been your favorite teacher your high school career?
M: Mr. Webb because he is amazing and he is the coolest teacher on the planet.
S: What schools are on your college list?
M: I'm either going to Assumption in Worcester or Wheelock in Boston.
S: What event are you most looking forward to during your senior year?
M: Graduation because I'm excited to get out of here.
ON MOLLY
S: What's on your playlist right now?
M: Pretty much Choral Music, Paramore and Fall Out Boy. I'm not Emo though.
S: What was the last good movie you saw?
M: "August Rush." It had really good music and I enjoyed the movie. I
S: What are your other interests? M: Singing and hanging out with friends.
