WHALER ALL-STARS Rounding out the winter sports season, several Nantucket players were named league all-stars.

KIEFER AND MINER WIN BY LOSING ATWESTMOOR Patty Kiefer and Michael Miner have been named winners of "I Lost It at the Club," an eight-week motivational weight loss program coordinated by the International Health, Racquet & Sports club Association and sponsored by the Westmoor Club.

The program kicked off Jan. 7. Participants received activity cards and completed the program on an independent basis with the support of the spa and fitness center team at the Westmoor.

FARRELL WINS AGAIN John Farrell, a senior pitcher at Longwood University and a 2004 graduate of Nantucket High School, bettered his record to 2-2 with a four strikeout, two walk performance against the University of Maryland-Baltimore Sunday. With the victory, the Longwood Lancers improved to 17-10 on the season.
