Bruce Buxton resigns from AAN
Bruce Buxton, Executive Director of the Artists Association of Nantucket since October 2007, has resigned from his position. His resignation, effective as of last Friday, came after he discovered he could not devote as much time to the organization as its needs. Buxton has an education background and was formerly the headmaster of Falmouth Academy for many years before taking the AAN post. Buxton has a particular interest in small schools and will now complete a book he is writing on that subject. AAN President Bruce Beni said no plan has been developed for a search for Buxton's replacement, adding that there is no urgency to do so.
