AT ITS MEETING ON MARCH 5, 2008, THE BOARD, CONVENING AS THE NANTUCKET REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY ADVISORY BOARD:
• Approved a license agreement with Greenhound, LLC for the use of 10 and 12 Washington Street as a downtown shuttle stop for two routes for the 2008 season. The license agreement is for $1 and the two routes served will be the Surfside and the airport runs.

 
CONVENING AS THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN: • Approved a request to name a street in Madaket "Ackermuck Way."

• Approved a request for the reappointment of David Goodman to the Board of Registrars of Voters.

• Approved a request for a waiver from the street opening regulations for The Galley restaurant.

• Accepted a $1,000 gift for Our Island Home.

AT ITS MEETING TONIGHT, THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN WILL:

• Hear a request from the Nantucket District Boy Scouts of America for a waiver from building permit fees for Camp Richard improvements. The organization hopes to build a new shower house and restroom facility.

• Hear a request from the Great Harbor Yacht Club for a waiver from the street opening regulations.

• Hear a request from the Great Harbor Yacht Club for the acceptance of a gift of a sidewalk on Washington Street. The yet to be finished sidewalk runs from the intersection of Washington Street and Francis Street to the southernmost property line of the GHYC.

• Hold a review of proposed de-watering regulations. The Storm Water Working Group has written a proposal, which would standardize the permit review process for storm water collection systems.

• Hear presentation from Sustainable Nantucket on the International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives.

• Establish a Downtown Revitalization Committee. • Establish a Road Surfacing Policy work group. • Establish a Teen Center work group.
