TRUCK HITS HOUSE; NO ONE HURT

Thomas, who was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, told police he had been sick and while driving, began to cough and passed out.

His truck, which ended up almost entirely inside the house, jumped a curb, smashed through a fence, ran over a small tree, drove onto the front porch and into the living room.

Thomas exited the vehicle under his own power, according to the police report.

Thomas complained of shoulder pain and was taken to Nantucket Cottage Hospital, where he was treated and released.

There were five occupants home at the time of the crash, but no one was injured.
