Nantucket takes Island Invitational
The boys romped over Mt. Everett, 82- 49, and the girls dispatched Harwich, 49-43, in Monday's finale of the two-day Island Invitational on Martha's Vineyard.

Jordan Ferreira, who scored 25 points, and Delroy Lawrence, who had 12, were named tournament all-stars. The win improves the boys' record to 13-6.

The Lady Whalers improved to 18-1 behind the scoring of Shantel Hanniford (11 points), Stephanie Espinoza (9 points), Angela Paterson (9 points) and Whitney Butler (8 points). The girls finish the regular season today at Sandwich, while the boys host Mashpee at 4:30 p.m.
