HEARING DATES SET FOR WARRANT, BUDGET
With a 125 article warrant for this year's Annual Town Meeting, town officials have set aside plenty of time prior to the April 7 meeting date to hold public hearings about the articles.

The following is a list of meeting dates and times related to both the town budget and the 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant. Meeting schedules and adoption of recommendation dates are subject to change.

• Thursday, Feb. 21, 4 p.m. Nantucket High School Cafeteria Adoption of Finance Committee motions for 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant articles.

• Thursday, Feb. 21, 6 p.m. 2 Fairground Road Planning Board public hearing on 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant articles.

• Monday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m. 2 Fairgrounds Road Planning Board to make recommendations on Annual Town Meeting warrant articles.

• Wednesday, March 5, 6 p.m. Town Building Court Room Board of Selectmen meeting to consider endorsing Finance Committee and Planning Board recommendations.

• Friday, March 14 Submission of 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant articles with Finance Committee and Planning Board recommendations and Board of Selectmen endorsements. This is the last possible date to make recommendations or endorsement changes to abide by the Town Charter.

• Saturday, March 22, 3 p.m. Great Hall of the Atheneum Nantucket Civic League "Meet the Articles" public forum to discuss 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant articles. Date subject to change.

• Thursday, March 27 2008 Annual Town Meeting warrant mailed to voters.

• Monday, April 7, 7 p.m. NHS Auditorium
