Gymnasts compete in league championships
Nantucket scored a team total 109.65 at the Cranberry League Championships held Saturday at Somerset North Elementary School.

Senior captain Maxine Daniels paced Nantucket, placing 13th in the all-around program with a score of 30.1. Senior captain Tiffani Montijo turned in season-high scores in floor exercises (7.7) and bars (5.45), while turning in a strong performance in vault with a score of 7.7.

Kiri Mullen also scored 7.7 in vault and scored 6.2 on beam and 5.0 on bars. Chelsea Reynolds put in a solid beam routine with a score of 6.6, while Melissa Holdgate and Sophie Civatarese scored 7.1 and 7.5 respectively in floor exercise; Civatarese also scored a solid 7.1 on vault.

Lucy McGowan's bar routine contributed to the team score of 5.5; McGowan also scored a 7.1 on vault. Kayla Hatch had her best meet of the season, contributing to Nantucket's team score on beam with a strong 6.1, and also scoring 5.0 on bars.

Also competing for Nantucket were Shauna Asplint on floor, and Emma Knutti and Kimone
