Anthony C. Flye, 38, of 9 Brinda Lane was arrested outside his home on Thursday evening without incident in connection with 2044 charges of rape of a child with force and incest, among other charges, Nantucket Police said.

Flye, who police say has an extensive criminal history, was taken into custody by both Massachusetts State Police and Nantucket Police outside his home last night.

He is wanted in connection with 2004 charges out of New Bedford including rape, rape of a child with force, indecent assault and battery on an elderly or disable person, indecent exposure, assault and battery on an elderly or disabled person, indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over and incest, according to a Nantucket Police Department press release

His bail was set at $500,000.
