"Juno" (Rated PG-13 for some mature thematic material, sexual content and language; 96 min.)
Nominated for four Oscars, "Juno" tackles the tough question of teenage pregnancy. Handling the issue with witty dialogue and caring characters, "Juno" is a movie that takes you into the hearts of the characters and leaves you wishing you could invite them over for dinner. In this age of special effects, "Juno" stands on the talent of an exceptional screenplay and remarkable actors. Ellen Page stars as the main character, and captures the innocence and straightforwardness that embodies every teenager, no matter what life is throwing them.

"Bucket List" (Rated PG-13 for language, including a sexual reference; 97 min.)
If, instead of two naive ladies, Thelma and Louse were two mature men, and if the problem they were running from was terminal cancer instead of an abusive husband, then you would have "Bucket List." Starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, "Bucket List" is a buddy movie that does the genre proud. The two main characters decide to make a list of everything they want to do before they die, and then get right on it. Sorry ladies, Brad Pitt doesn't show up in this one and take his shirt off!

"CLOVERFIELD" (Rated PG-13 for violence, terror and disturbing images; 85 min.) "Blair Witch Project" meets "War of the Worlds," and - viola! - a mockumentary about the destruction of lower Manhattan by a reptilian creature. Just as "Blair Witch" left you with nightmares because of the feeling of being right there with the characters, "Cloverfield" makes you think you are the one behind the camera, running from the creature, trying to survive. A good flick to take your honey to on Valentine's Day - there's maximum chance for playing the hero to her damsel in distress.
