Island Waves compete in Virginia
Nantucket's pre-juvenile synchronized skating team, the Island Waves, was one of 17 teams to take part in a synchronized skating competition in Richmond, Va. on Jan. 25 and 26. The Waves competed well in the qualifying round and made it through to the finals. Coaches Kristin DeFrancisci and Belinda Yancy said the girls represented Nantucket "with style and grace and energetic team spirit."
