Hillary Swank plays Holly Kennedy, a woman fortunate enough to find, fall in love with and marry her soulmate, Gerry Kennedy, played by Gerard Butler. Her good fortune runs out, however, when Gerry is diagnosed with a brain tumor and dies quickly.
