First place honors in last Friday's Cyrus Peirce School Geography Bee went to sixth grader Adam Parker (right), one of nine finalists from the sixth, seventh and eighth grades who took part in the first round of the 20th annual National Geographic Bee. Competing for the eighth grade team (above) are Jay Getman, Michael Howard and Stephen Harris. Parker will now take a written test to determine eligibility for the state bee on April 4, which will feature up to 100 of the top scorers in Massachusetts.
