      Some of Devon Francis' most cherished childhood memories are of the time he spent baking cakes with his grandmother when he was a boy growing up in Montego Bay, Jamaica. "My grandmother used to bake cakes for a lot of people, and I would help her," Francis said. "I don't have any one favorite cake. I like baking them all. It's hard to like one cake better than another.

Special Town Meeting opens on Monday night
12 articles deal mostly with financial and real estate issues
      On Monday, Nantucket opens its second Town Meeting of the year. This Special Town Meeting, originally required to seek voter approval for the town to borrow additional money to cover the cost overages for 'Sconset's new elevated water tank and for a second one for the town off Polpis Road, evolved into a 12-article warrant of essentially housekeeping projects.
