Island Cup heads back to the Vineyard

      On paper it certainly looked like the epic battle between David and Goliath. The 9-1 Martha's Vineyard team advanced on the smaller Island to meet up with the 0-9 struggling Nantucket varsity football team, bringing along their middle school and JV teams as back up. Indeed, it was to be a tough day for all three of Nantucket's teams.

Nantucket's younger players lose to Vineyard

      In what was the coldest weather so far this fall with a bitter freezing wind, Nantucket's middle school team took the field at the Nantucket Boys and Girls Club against Martha's Vineyard at the same time the freshman squad took the field at the high school field. The results for both matches, unfortunately were to be similar.
