Man arrested for cocaine trafficking
      Acting on a tip, the Nantucket Police Department arrested a Nantucket man on Friday night and seized approximately 35 grams of cocaine.

Philip Smyth Haring
      Philip Smyth Haring died Saturday, September 27, at Nantucket Cottage Hospital, following an extended illness. He would have been 93 on October 7. Mr. Haring was born in White Plains, N.Y., in 1915, the son of Professor Clarence Henry Haring and Helen Louise Garnsey Haring.

Selectmen to decide on A-1 Taxi
      The Board of Selectmen held off on ruling on the A-1 Taxi license transfers, opting to have their legal ducks in order and avoid having the issue end up back in court. At last week's hearing, the selectmen had a number of questions for town counsel to answer before voting on the matter.
