At Oran Mór, flavors matter
      Nothing in this world could get me to eat Peking duck after seeing that final scene in the movie, "A Christmas Story- " the one in which brothers Ralphie and Randy Parker along with their parents are forced to go out for Christmas dinner at the local Chinese food restaurant after the Bumpus' dogs burst into their kitchen and made off with their roast turkey.

Ambiance and accommodating wait staff

      I will be the first to admit that I am a difficult person to take out to dinner because I am so fussy about what I consume. For example, beef has not passed my lips in about 40 years. I have not eaten lamb or duck since early childhood. I have never eaten and will not eat deer, bunnies or squid. I do not care for clams, oysters or even lobster.

      Back in the '50s we had Sparrow Hawks, Pigeon Hawks, and Duck Hawks. Alas they are gone now. But I'm just trying to get your attention. The names are gone, but these species of hawks still exist, thank goodness. These birds are all falcons, our swiftest and most exciting birds of prey. Beginning birders learn that all falcons are hawks, but not all hawks are falcons.
