"Moon Over Buffalo"
ANOTHER SIDE-SPLITTING TWN HIT
      The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket tries to provide island audiences with a variety of plays that are a mix of serious performances, foot-tapping musicals and silly comedies. The TWN's next main stage show, "Moon Over Buffalo," written by Ken Ludwig and opening Friday night downstairs at the Methodist Church at 8:30 p.m.

Rudd has first island solo show
      Edwin Rudd is one of the island's many, talented painters working predominantly in watercolors. Rudd's depictions of the "gritty" side of Nantucket and its character and characters who anchor this place as a year-round community are his favorite subjects and will be featured in his first solo show at The Old Spouter Gallery on Orange Street with an opening reception

Whiffenpoofs perform at Unitarian Meeting House
      T he Whiffenpoofs, the male a cappella group from Yale University, is taking a break from traveling all over the world to perform on island this Sunday, August 24 at the Unitarian Meeting House to benefit the Unitarian Meeting House preservation fund.

      Moving Sankaty discussion at Lightship Basket Museum At 2 p.m. on Thursday, August 21, Bob Felch and Lisa Frey will give a presentation about the 'Sconset Trust's moving of the historic Sankaty lighthouse to save it from toppling over the crumbling east end bluff.

As I was researching this week's bird I noticed their comment that its mating activity made them think of that dance.
