Surfing the Ozone
      S ponsored by Nantucket Nectars, the event raised over $40,000 for the following island charities: Nantucket Boys & Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Strong Wings, Salt Marsh Center and Elder Services/ Meals on Wheels. This year's Ozone had the largest turnout to date with approximately 100 competitors and over 1,500 spectators.

Volleyball tourney benefits food pantry
      Eleven teams took the sand on Sunday for the 22nd annual Beach Volleyball Day at the Jetties Beach in an event that is one of the longest, if not the longest, continuously running Nantucket benefit sporting event, raising a total exceeding $80,000.
