Intercontinental closing on Marine Home Center expected mid-month
      No purchase price has been disclosed, but the official closing on the sale of Marine Home Center to the Brighton-based Intercontinental Developers, Inc. is anticipated to occur on or about July 18. Intercontinental's Chairman and CEO Peter Palandjian confirmed late last week that a definitive agreement for the purchase was signed June 30.

Volume turned up on airport noise
      Island Air announced last week that it will follow the voluntary noise abatement route after several people in Surfside, Tom Nevers and Miacomet registered complaints with Nantucket Memorial Airport about Island Air planes flying overhead in otherwise peaceful neighborhoods.

      Weekly update: Electrical workers installed the electrical duct bank and contractors started work on the framing of the exterior walls. The foundation wall bracing was removed and the first floor concrete curb work began. This week, the fireproofing contractor will start work in the basement, and interior wall layout will also begin.
