Phineas Peter Wayland, Phineas Peter Wayland, of Portland, Ore., celebrated his first birthday on May 13, 2008. He is the son of Michael and Rebecca Wayland. His grandparents are David Wayland of Avon, Conn., Rev. Georgia Snell of Nantucket, Peter Brown of London, England and Sarah Seamark of Greenwich, Conn. His greatgrandmother is Lorraine Snell of Falls Church, Va. and Nantucket.

Joseph Vaughn Peterson Larrabee celebrated his first birthday on Monday, June 16, 2008. He is the son of Vanessa and Jason Larrabee of Nantucket. His grandparents are Richard and Nancy Larrabee and Linda Peterson of Nantucket, and Julio Orozco of Heredia, Costa Rica. He is the nephew of the late Vaughn Mitchell Peterson.

Brayden Robert Hollis was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on June 5, 2008 weighing 5 pounds and 5 ounces. He is the son of Robert and Sarah Hollis, Jr. of Nantucket. His grandparents are Kenneth and Jane Valero of Nantucket, and Debbie Hollis and the late Robert Hollis of Middletown, Mass. His greatgrandparents are Margaret Meilbye of Nantucket and Warren and Trudy Valero of Nantucket and New Jersey.

Joseph Vaughn Peterson Larrabee Logun Christ Cliff was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on June 8, 2008 weighing 7 pounds and 12 ounces. He is the son of Nicole and Andrew Cliff and brother of Laica Cliff of Nantucket. His grandparents are Jerry and Lisa Crabtree and Pam Crabtree of Syracuse, N.Y. and Betty Pflug and Stephen Norman of Florida. His great-grandparents are Wayne and Elli Crabtree, Jan and Woodrow Schumacher, Don and Bess Neihensen and Brenda Pflug of Florida, Illinois and New York.

Emily Therese Malvesti was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on June 11, 2008 weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces. She is the daughter of Chief TJ and Doreen Malvesti and sister of Ryan Malvesti of Nantucket. Her grandparents are Will and Trudy Hynes of Milton, Mass., Valerie Malvesti of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and Richard Malvesti of Melbourne, Fla. Her great-grandparent is Richard J. Malvesti of Daytona Beach, Fla.

Teja Mai Thompson was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on June 9, 2008 weighing 9 pounds and 13 ounces. She is the daughter of Heidi and Michael Thompson of Nantucket and sister of Tessa Torres of Nantucket, and Mickayla and Michael Anthony Thompson, Jr. of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Her grandparents are Mark and Laura Keith of Westbrook, Conn., Velma McLaughlin of Nantucket and Maurice Thompson of Manchester, Jamaica.
