Town clock ticks into 127th year
      For 35 years, Reggie Reed climbed 55 steps once a week to wind or reset the town clock in the tower of the Unitarian Church. For the last three years, Manny Sylvia of the Nantucket Historical Association's grounds and maintenance department, has had a far shorter ascent to wind the clock now on display in the central tower of the Whaling Museum.

Artists form new cooperative Sar.Z gallery
      She is inspired by nature. His muse is what life doles out. Sarah Hutton and Buzz Williams have followed their dreams and on May 16 opened Sar.Z gallery adjacent to Orange Street Video as a cooperative venture. The gallery features their work and that of painter and native Kate Pelletier, who also does house drawings, and sculptor Randy Goldberger.

      CHILDREN'S THEATER CAMP BEGINS JUNE 3 The Theatre Workshop of Nantucket's Children's Musical Theater Conservatory Camp begins Tuesday, June 3 and lasts through July 26. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Bennett Hall, 62 Centre St., and is open to children eight to 18. Tuition is $300, and tuition assistance is available.
