There are times when high school sports are as good as it gets, and the tournament runs by both Nantucket varsity teams the past two years qualify as sports of the highest order. More ... Last year was 16-6, this year was 15-7, but what's important is that both Whaler editions made it to the quarterfinal round of the state tournament, the deepest any boys' basketball team from Nantucket has ever gone. More ... The annual badminton tournament that continues through this week draws hundreds of kids and adults every year. A prominent and very wellknown competitor in this tournament is senior Jasper Young. He has taken part in Badminton-Mania since his freshman year and with his bandana and fierce drop-shot he is a force to be reckoned with. More ...
