TIME OUT
Sam: How do you think your season is going to go? Maxine: I think we're going to have a strong season this year because we have a lot of returning gymnasts and some freshmen. We only have five meets scheduled this year, but that's normal because each meet is against more than one team. S: What is your part on the team? M: I'm an all-around gymnast, which means I compete in all four events: Vault, Bar, Beam and Floor. On each team only two gymnasts are allowed to compete in all events. I was an all-around gymnast last year also. S: What's been the highlight of your career to date? M: Last year at championships I competed really well and that was nice.
S: What has been your favorite class this year? M: Photo with Ms. Morris because I like taking pictures and expressing myself through photography. S: Who has been your favorite teacher during your high school career? M: Probably Mr. Bennett because he's never in a bad mood and he isn't afraid to crack some jokes. S: What schools are on your college list? M: All the schools I've applied to are in New England. I recently got accepted to Assumption College in Worcester, which is one of my top choices. S: What event are you most looking forward to during your senior year? M: Graduation because I think everyone is ready to start their lives past high school, but it's still going to be a really sad day. On Maxine S: What's on your playlist right now? M: A little bit of everything. S: What was the last good movie you saw? M: "A Good Year" because I found it interesting, and I'm really excited to see the new "Bring it On" movie. S: What are your other interests? M: Photography, soccer, and hanging out with my friends. |
