EVENING OF REMEMBRANCE
The Nantucket Historical Association will present a Veterans Gam: An Evening of Music and Remembrance on Pearl Harbor Day, Friday, Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Whaling Museum.

On the anniversary of the United States' involvement in WWII, the Gam will honor veterans from all wars, including the Korean and Vietnam wars.

The Gam will feature eight speakers who will share anecdotes and personal memories from their wartime experiences. Musical selections from each era will be dispersed among their stories, including a few well loved sing-a-longs. The floor will also be open to any veterans who would like to share their wartime stories.

"We hope all veterans will join us for this special evening, regardless of whether they'd like to speak," said Kim McCray, NHA manager of interpretation and education. "This is a wonderful opportunity for the NHA and the public to listen and learn from these heroes in our community. By listening to their stories, and hearing the songs of the times, we hope to show our respect and appreciation for their sacrifices."
