Note: There will be no meeting of the Board of Selectmen

PattyRoggeveen
on Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 21. The next regular meeting

will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

• At 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13 the selectmen met in the Land Bank conference room to discuss potential Town Meeting warrant zoning articles, but because Planning Director Andrew Vorce had to attend to other business they postponed a discussion on potential options for developing the property at 2 Candle St.

• At a 3 p.m. workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 14 in the town building conference room, the selectmen discussed the process for a site assignment hearing for Reis Trucking. The company is proposing to build a solid waste transfer station at 30 Bunker Road for construction and demolition debris, asphalt, brick and concrete. The Department of Environmental Protection has issued a report assessing the site as suitable for the facility. The selectmen must begin a public hearing on the application by Dec. 3 and reach a decision within 45 days of the initiation of the hearing.

• Heard a selectmen's report on 2007-2008 goals and objectives and monthly workshop/liaison reports.
