TIME OUT
HUNTER DAY Junior Football
BY SAM TOOLE
Although football has had a tough season so far, a number of players have stood out. Junior Hunter Day is playing very solidly at the halfback position. He has high hopes for the beating the Vineyard in the Island Cup this year but if that's not in the cards he will have multiple more opportunities on the lacrosse field. The Independent caught up with Hunter at the library in this week's Time Out:

ON FOOTBALL

Sam: How has the season gone so far?

Hunter: It's not going too well because we got off to a slow start. But in our game against Old Colony we came together as a team. Now that we've started to pick it up we should end the season strongly.

S: What position do you play?

H: I play halfback. Last year I started off as fullback but this year the team needed a halfback so I stepped up.

S: What's been the top highlight for your career to date?

H: My sophomore year on JV because we went 8-1. Our team was really strong. ON SCHOOL

S: What has been your favorite class this year?

H: Algebra 2 with Mr. Fleischut because I like math and I'm doing really well in his class.

S: Who has been your favorite teacher during your high school career?

H: Mr. Porteus, because he is the man

S: What event are you most looking forward to during your junior year?

H: I'm looking forward to the Vineyard game and getting the Island Cup back.

ON HUNTER

S: What's on your playlist right now?

H: I listen to John Legend a lot and Souja Boy right now.

S: What was the last good movie you saw?

H: "The Comebacks" because I liked watching "Radio." It was really funny.

S: What other interests do you have other than football?

H: I like fishing, hanging out with my friends and Madden Tournaments.
