Now playing on Nantucket

"Death at a Funeral" (Rated R for language and drug content; 90 minutes)

Directed by Frank Oz, "Death at a Funeral" is the funniest and wackiest funeral you will ever attend (at least we hope!). The farce begins with the delivery of two caskets for the funeral and takes off from there. Dysfunctional family members abound, eccentricities are lauded and hilarity ensues. Wed. Oct. 31, Thurs. Nov. 1, 7:30 p.m.

"Michael Clayton" (Rated R for language including some sexual dialogue; 119 min.)

Starring George Clooney in the lead role, "Michael Clayton" is a business thriller reminiscent of "The Firm." Clayton is a "fixer" for a law firm, cleaning up the messes that legally might pose a problem. Clayton is a human mirror of the law firm, a person who looks perfect to the outside world but is falling apart inside. Enter a partner in the law firm who experiences a nervous breakdown (evidenced in a scene with the lawyer stripping naked and running through a parking lot in the snow - that in itself is worth the price of admission) and the outside personas of both the law firm and Clayton begin to crack, showing bits of the quagmire hiding inside. Clayton must decide where his loyalties are rooted, and if he can fix the most convoluted situation he has ever experience. Fri. Nov. 2, Sat. Nov. 3, 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Sun. Nov. 4, 7 p.m., 9:15 p.m.

"The Game Plan" (Rated PG for some mild thematic elements; 110 min.)

Dwayne Johnson, aka "The Rock," shines in this Disney film about a professional football player who finds out he has an eight-year-old daughter. His narcissism must give way to fatherly love, and in typical Disney fashion, this change occurs amid comedy, hijinks and sweet moments. A good movie for the whole family in a season of movies for date night. Mon. Nov. 5, Tues. Nov. 6, 7:30 p.m.
