PHOTO BY MICHAEL DWYER Robert Allison, Suffolk University history professor and member of The Bostonian Society's board of directors, presented the Society's 2007 Boston History Award to author, historian and Nantucket resident Nathaniel Philbrick attended the 2007 Boston History Award Gala hosted by The Bostonian Society on Friday, October 12. Awards in historic preservation and history were presented to Alden Gifford, Jr., Richard Friedman, Mayor Thomas M. Menino, and Nathanial Philbrick. Proceeds from the Boston History Award Gala benefit the programs, services, and collections of The Bostonian Society including operation of Boston's historic Old State House.
