Disappointment for girls varsity field hockey
After playing themselves into a position to control their own destiny by beating Wareham 2-1 last Tuesday, the girls varsity field hockey team faced a do or die situation.

Nantucket hosted Tyngsborough high school on Saturday needing a win or at least a tie in order to amass enough points to put them into the playoffs. Unfortunately, Nantucket will have to wait another year to try it again, loosing a tight match 3-0 and dashing their hopes for this season.

On Saturday we were tied at the half 0-0 and they scored their first goal with 12 minutes remaining, and than the floodgates opened," said coach Lori Moran. "We were without senior sweeper Marissa Moran and it was Cassie Moran and Jessica Norris' final

game also." I
