"The Kingdom"

(Rated R for intense sequences of graphic brutal violence, and

for language; 110 min.) Directed by Peter Berg, "The Kingdom" is packed with a starstudded cast, including Jamie Foxx, Chris Cooper and Jennifer Garner, and a plot torn from today's headlines. When a western compound is bombed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, an elite team of FBI agents is sent on a secret five day mission to find the killer. The Saudi government is not so happy to see them. However, terrorism makes strange bedfellows, and the clock is ticking on the five day deadline. •Wed. Oct. 24, Thurs. Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m. • Sun. Oct. 28, 9 p.m.

"The Game Plan"

(Rated PG for some mild thematic

elements; 110 min.) Dwayne Johnson, aka "The Rock," shines in this Disney film about a professional football player who finds out he has an eight-year-old daughter. His narcissism must give way to fatherly

love, and in typical Disney fashion, this change occurs amid comedy, hijinks and sweet moments. A good movie for the whole family in a season of movies for date night. • Fri. Oct. 26, Sat. Oct. 27, 5 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. • Sun. Oct. 28, 7 p.m.

"Eastern Promises"

(Rated R for strong brutal and bloody

violence, some graphic sexuality,

language and nudity; 100 min.)

Directed by David Cronenberg and starring Viggo Mortenson and Naomi Watts, "Eastern Promises" has the depth of "The Sopranos" and the action of "The Bourne Identity." Centered around the Eastern European mob, Mortenson gives his mob driver character Nikolai the bravado you would expect, but also the depth and emotion you would not. Watts shines as Anna Khitrova, a caring and inquisitive midwife who happens to ask the wrong questions. • Mon. Oct. 29, Tues. Oct. 30,

7:30 p.m. I
