BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB TEAM HOSTS VINEYARD TODAY

Nantucket's Boys and Girls Club junior high squad will square off against its Martha's Vineyard counterparts at the high school field this afternoon around 3:45 p.m.

The clubbers return home after a 16- 6 victory over Nauset at Nauset last week, bringing their record to 2-1 on the season.

Down, 6-0, against Nauset, the clubbers turned it around as Andrew Benson came up with a key interception to set up Nantucket's first touchdown of the game. Cory Woolfolk sprinted 60 yards to the 10-yard line on the ensuing drive before Sean Davis pushed it in from the 3 for the score. Woolfolk then swept right for the successful conversion play.

The clubbers scored again in the second half when quarterback Taylor Hughes hit Benson with a 35-yard scoring strike. Woolfolk followed with another sweep right for the conversion and the final tally.
