CPS soccer squads defeat Wixon
The CPS boys and girls soccer teams played Wixon Middle School last Friday, and both teams continued with their winning ways. The boys stomped, 7-2. Scoring was spread out among Ben Daniels (2), Chris Sylvia (2), and Nick Larrabee (1). Sean Stojak, who has been prowling around the net all season, narrowly missing shot after shot as well as setting up other goal scorers, finally netted his first two goals. Coach Matt Parker praised him as one of the most improved players from the spring travel team. The young team, made up of seventh and eigth graders, has an impressive record of 3-1-1 so far with four games left on the schedule. "With all the talent we have on this team it is not surprising we have a great record," Parker stated.
The girls CPS team also won its game, 4-0, continuing their strong play. Ruby Fee had their number, scoring three of the four Nantucket goals, with Gaby Guevarra adding the other.
The team now has a record of 3-2. I
