Gallery Opening
There will be a gallery opening for artists Stephen Pitliuk and Lois Wertheimer this Saturday, Sept. 29, 5-8 p.m. at GalleryBlue, 20 & 21 Old South Wharf. Werthheimer has been an active sculpter for more than 20 years. She works in alabaster, wood, limestone and marble. Her indoor and outdoor sculptures often emerge into human and animal abstractions. Pitliuk's work has been said to "bring anything from a raised eyebrow, to hysterical laughter to the viewer. Politically incorrect at best, and always with a smile, a balance of humor and commentary as an art form that is very often attempted and very rarely succeeds ... a fantastic mix of Post-Modern meets Pop, meets Dadaism, meets Jean Michael
