FALL FAIR AT NANTUCKET ICE

Afair featuring kids' games, face painting, crafts, cotton candy, a bake sale, silent raffle and more will be held this Saturday, September 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nantucket Ice on Backus Lane. The event will be held rain or shine and will benefit the Nantucket Skating Club. Call 228-2516 for more information.

Runners meet Tuesdays rain or shine at 5:15 p.m. at the corner of Beach and Easton streets for a 5:30 p.m. start. The 5K (3.1 miles) run is on paved roads over a mostly flat course, accurately wheel measured, with one hill and some moderate grades. Runners of all abilities, from beginners to veterans, are welcome. There are no entry fees. For information call (508) 228-0206.
