AT ITS MEETING TONIGHT, SEPTEMBER 26,
THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN WILL:
• Present 35 Years of Service Pins to Town Employees
• Execute a Term Sheet with Siasconset Breach Preservation Fund regarding filing of Chapter 91 Waterways Permit Application
• Adopt FY 2009 Capital Projects Recommendations. • Hear an update on current DPW projects. • Review a possible Gasification Facility at Landfill/Waste Options. • Hear a Departmental Overview of the Fire Department.
CONVENING AS THE BOARD OF HEALTH WILL: • Hear a Title Five Variance Request for 10 Tennessee Avenue.
• Hear an Announcement of a cooperative agreement between Nantucket Cottage Hospital and the Nantucket Health Department concerning a "sharps disposal" program.
• Hear a Harbor Watersheds Inspections update and discuss the time frame of Harbor Watersheds Inspections.
• Hear an announcement of a DEP Hearing concerning Delivery of Total Maximum Daily Limits for nutrients in Nantucket Harbor.

AT ITS SEPTEMBER 19 MEETING, THE BOARD:
• Continued to its Oct. 3 meeting a citizen request for a taxi license transfer from Beverly Topham, widow of Alvin "Toppy" Topham who died on Aug. 17.
• Denied an HDC appeal submitted by E. Garrett Bewkes, III, for structures at 71 and 73 Squam Road.
• Heard a selectmen's report on support of an Edgartown application to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for a permit to investigate a tidal energy project intended to benefit Nantucket and The Vineyard.
The Board of Selectmen will also meet in a Workshop session on Sept. 27, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Land Bank Meeting Room, 22 Broad Street, to review
and discuss the concept of Performance Budgeting/Measurement.
