Amare Kemar Bramwell was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on Sept. 15, 2007 weighing 7 pounds and 8 ounces. He is the son of AnMarie Daley and Pernell Bramwell and brother of Shereen, Kayon, Maya, Junor, Noah and Noel of Kingston, Jamaica and New Zealand. His grandparents are Luranda and Alvin Daley, and Karmen and Gordon and Edgar Bramwell of Kingston, Jamaica.

Gabriel Selav Freitas was born at Nantucket Cottage Hospital on Sept. 12, 2007 weighing 8 pounds and 1 ounce. He is the son of Kamila Day Selav and Tiago Guimaraes Freitas of Nantucket. His grandparents are Haroldo de Freitas, Maria Cristina and Guimaraes Freitas of Brazil. His great-grandparents are Marzel Selav and Maria da Gloria Day Selav of Brazil.

Nantucket Bank has promoted Christy Potter to bank operations officer. Potter has been with the bank for nearly seven years, starting as teller and later as personal banking representative. She was promoted to assistant branch manager at the Pleasant Street office in 2003 and to branch manager at Amelia Drive in May, 2004. Earlier this year she was promoted to operations manager at Bayberry Court. She was selected for the coveted customer service award by the bank's officers in 2006.
