Photography show features collages of images from 2006 Nantucket Airshow
In September 2006, Nantucket photographers Kris Kinsley Hancock and Pat Woodley Hancock spent several days on the tarmac of Nantucket Memorial Airport photographing the amazing aerial stunts performed at the Nantucket Airshow by the Blue Angels amongst others.

One year later, the aerobatics are returning to the Nantucket Memorial Airport in photographic form. From nearly 1,700 images, the Hancocks selected 43 to print on metallic paper in a series of six, 16" x 24" collages. Matted, each collage's display size is at 18" x 28".

Five collages highlight the Blue Angels as they go through their paces from ground to sky. Look for the image where two pilots nearly touch the moon. The sixth collage features wing-walker Jenny Forsythe riding loops in the sky and aerobat Patty Wagstaff flying a mind-defying path under a wire.

The 2006 Nantucket Airshow collage prints will be on display in Nantucket Memorial Airport's Photography showcase from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 as part of the rotating Photographers' Alliance of Nantucket
