FAIR FOSTERS COMMUNITY

To the editor:

The recent Island Fair was a resounding success due to many island residents.

The Park and Recreation Department staff, excellent volunteers, exceptional community organizations, and many other outstanding individuals gave of their time, talents, produce, and livestock to create a wonderful weekend of family fun. It reflects well on island life when varied individuals work together to create two days of enjoyment while fostering a sense of community.

Young and old alike enjoyed this annual event. I thank all those responsible for making it possible. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
