I would like to thank the community for making Nantucket Farmers and Artisans Market's first day a success!

I was amazed how many people attended and helped launch our first day. I want to thank all the vendors that participated and many others who will attend in the next eight weeks. A big thank you to the Nantucket New School for hosting the market at their school. To Christine Silverstein and Tara Grunwald of Sustainable Nantucket for sponsoring us and helping through all the logistics and planning. To Heather Coffin's positive attitude and energy in all the planning. To Sue Riddle for designing our logo. To our volunteers, and the Four Easy Payments band for the great music. Nantucket Farmers and Artisans Market runs until Oct. 6, Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the New School.
