REEL TO REEL
NOW PLAYING ON NANTUCKET
"Hairspray"

"Hairspray"
(Rated PG for language, some suggestive content and momentary teen smoking.)

Astellar cast re-makes that which never needed to be re-made: John Waters' quirky "Hairspray" - the story of a chubby girl who uses a public access dance show in the early '60s as a platform for civil rights … and love. John Travolta cross-dresses.

Matt Damon reprises his role as Jason Bourne, the lethally conditioned human weapon with amnesia gone rogue. As he continues to avoid being hunted down and assassinated by the CIA, Bourne finally learns the truth about his secret past in this third, high-energy Bourne film - touted by many as the best of the trilogy.

"The Simpsons Movie"

Sun., Aug. 19, 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry"

(Rated PG-13 for crude sexual content throughout, nudity, language and drug references; 110 min.)

Four boobs star in this film about two (straight) "Average Joe" firefighters from Brooklyn pretending to be gay to receive domestic partner benefits. Starring Kevin James and Adam Sandler as the flaming couple and the lovely Jessica Biel as their legal defender. And no, my math wasn't wrong in the first sentence.
